Windlift is based in Raleigh, N.C., and is developing the next generation of airborne power generation solutions
Rob is the founder of Windlift and is responsible for all facets of the business. Under Rob’s leadership, Windlift has consistently produced high-quality, ground breaking technologies while cultivating strategic relationships across both private and government sectors.
With over 20 years of experience, Rob has established himself as an entrepreneurial leader and developer of disruptive technologies. Rob has a BS in Genetics and an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Andy joined Windlift in 2009 and is responsible for the company’s long term vision as well as the design and product management of Windlift’s Airborne Wind Energy System.
Andy brings more than 30 years of experience and has held leadership roles across Caterpillar, Westinghouse, Battelle and Eriksson. Andy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University and an MS from North Carolina State University.
Mark joined Windlift in 2013 from NASA Langley where he was instrumental in developing their airborne wind energy technology demonstrator. As the VP of Aerospace, Mark is responsible for developing Windlift’s electrical subsystems as well as advancing vehicle control and creating simulation environments.
Mark has a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing his PHD in Aerospace Engineering also from the University of Cincinnati.
Bence has over 20 years of strategic, operational and investment experience in the technology/renewable energy sector. Over the course of his career he has held leadership roles in all aspects of corporate finance, strategic planning and operational execution.
Prior to joining Windlift Bence co-founded the Sustainability Organization within eBay where he successfully lead investments of renewable power as well as implementing energy reducing technologies. From 1997- 2004 Bence served in strategic management and finance roles across Intel, Nortel Networks and Anderson Consulting. Bence has a BS in Network Systems Design from Syracuse University.
Frank is a former Captain, Executive Officer and Platoon Leader in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserves. As Windlift’s Chief Operating Officer Frank is responsible for all operational aspects of the company and also manages critical government relations within the DOD.
Prior to joining Windlift Frank served as the Vice President of Technology Programs within Bank of America which included implementing cyber security controls as well as managing the corporate internal audit team. Frank has a BS from the University of Arkansas (Economics) and an MBA in Management and Sustainable Enterprise from UNC-Chapel Hill.
